Chichagof Island Jeep Adventure

There is no better way to explore Hoonah, Chichagof Island and the Tongass National Forest. We pick you up at the Excursions Hub which is a short walk from where the Cruise Ships Dock. We then give you a safety briefing and orientation about the town and you are off! There are miles of logging roads and wilderness to venture into. One of the biggest draws is the chance to see wildlife like brown bear, deer, and the many birds and small mammals that inhibit the island. Be sure to keep your eye out for marine mammals as well as you drive along the coast. Take your time and enjoy seeing parts of Alaska that are seldom seen by non-locals. This is not an extreme 4 x 4 experience but the roads are dirt/gravel and may be bumpy/ and or muddy. Always remember that you are in bear country and that good bear sense needs to be exercised. All jeeps come equipped with a small cooler, bear spray, and a SPOT tracking device/emergency beacon.
