The nations tallest stone memorial structure called San Jacinto Monument marks the site where Texas won it's freedom from Mexico after a battle between General De Santa Anna and a group of men lead by General Sam Houston.
You'll go to the observation floor in the monument for amazing views and visit the museum there to see artifacts and gift shop. Observation floor fee of $6. not included in tour price.
