Up next is a visit to The Wat Mahathat Temple, also known as the Monastery of the Great Relics. The Wat Mahathat Temple is located in central Ayutthaya. In the past, it was the venue of important royal ceremonies and celebrations. These ancient ruins are most famous for the rising central prangs (spires). Like most temples in Thailand, this one is a combination of Hindu and Buddhist tradition. Section/Building 5 of this temple offers meditation practice which we recommended for everyone. The next destination is the Summer Palace of King Rama IV known as Phranakhonkiri. This palace is spread across 3 hilltops and offers the perfect blend of Thai, European and Chinese design as well as a wonderful view of Phetchaburi. Keep in mind that the royal protocols are still in place, so you must have your knees covered for the visit. You may choose to walk (remember to wear comfortable footwear as the grounds are widespread) or take the cable car. The panoramic view of the countryside is unforgettable! Up next, its time for lunch (for the morning tour). When in Thailand, the journey isn't complete without a delicious Thai Buffet. After enjoying your meal, visit the Khao Luang Caves. These caves have been called peaceful and spiritual by those who have visited them. You will surely love the formation of the stalactites and stalagmites which hang above your heads. Following this, a stucco decorated art temples awaits us. Next, visit the eternal palace of love which is located right beside the beach. Feel the refreshing sea breeze as you explore this beautiful Thai-Victorian structure. The well-maintained landscape with beautiful fountains and trees adds to the elegance. Your knees must be covered and sarongs will be provided for those not dressed in appropriate attire. We will also visit a Swiss Sheep Farm during the tour.
