Pass By: Qingshui Cliff, Su-hua highway from Herping to Chungte, 97253 Taiwan
Qingshui Cliff, located on the section of the Suao-Hualien Highway that stretches between Heping and Chongde stations, is one of the most spectacular sights on Taiwan's Pacific coast. The cliff is more than 1,000 meters high and drops almost vertically into the sea. The highway snakes along its curving face more than 20 kilometers, with the sheer cliff rising on one side and a sheer drop to the ocean on the other.

Taroko Gorge is an impressive 19-km-long canyon, situated near Taiwan's east coast and it is the only place in Taiwan, where - in just one afternoon - you can walk from the coast cliffs of Hualien to the subtropical forest and canyon in the mountain. In about 60 kilometers the landscape rises from sea level to some of the tallest peaks in Taiwan at over 3400 meter!
