Hue Imperial City - Beaten Track Tour

8:30am - Our driver and tour guide will collect you from your hotel in Hue city to begin your tour

9:00am - Arrive at Hue Tiger Arena (Vo Quyen) which was constructed in 1820 to wage war between tigers and elephants as a source of entertainment during the reign of the emperor Minh Mang

9:45 - Continue onto Vong Canh Hill (which translates to the words "observe" and "scene" for good reason) which offers a breath-taking panoramic of the Perfume River as it winds around a bend. It is a great chance to observe local lives as boats chug along the river.

10:45 - Explore Gia Long Tomb, which was constructed after the death of Gia Longs wife, Thua Thien (what the Hue province is named after) in 1814. It lies down a long small road far outside of town and passes through a small local village, providing a solemn feel like no other tomb in Hue.

11:45 - Relax in the Dragon Boat as you catch it from Hong Tren Boat Station back into the city. Enjoy the breeze as you take in the peaceful scenery of Hue. 

12:45 - Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant service Vietnamese specialty cuisine

1:45 - Arrive back at your hotel in Hue City to end your
