Motorcycling Hue to Hoi an

Day 01: Arrival Hue - City Tour – Phuoc Tich Ancient Village (B/L)

Arrive at Phu Bai airport, get transferred to visit Tomb of Tu Duc before lunch at local restaurant. In the afternoon, visit the ancient village of Phuoc Tich surrounded by O Lau River. It remains 27 “Nha Ruong - nhà Rường” (Hue’s old style houses) and gardens, 12 of which own architecturally and aesthetically special values.

Visit the village on foot and learn about the manufacturing process of pottery items by local artisans. Return to Hue.

Day 02: Hue - Motorcycling to traditional villages (B/L)

Start motorbike tour to Bao Vinh ancient town, once as the busy international trading port in the Nguyen Dynasty. Pass Bao Vinh River to Sinh Village, famous for its traditional paper paintings. Here, meet the artists of the village before learning how to make the painting from the traditional materials. Later, ride to Thanh Toan tile-roofed Bridge, stop en route at some street markets for experiencing the local life. On arrival, enjoy lunch served by the women from Communal Women Union in the village. Afterward, learn a lesson of agricultural skills and tools (plows, sickles, hoes, rice-hulling mills…) performed by the 80-year-old lady. Return Hue.

Day 03: Motorcycle from Hue passing A Luoi to Prao town (B/L/D)

Head out of Hue on highway 49 to A Luoi town. Ride up to the top of Ma Oi Pass, stop for swimming at Mau Waterfall and see the handicraft sewing of the Van Kieu ethnic minority, arrive at A Luoi town for lunch.

After lunch, follow the Ho Chi Minh Trail then get off the main road and start trekking to vist some ethnic minority villages. Overnight in Prao town.

Day 04: Prao town - Hoian (B/L)

Ride to Da Nang beach city. Stop en route to visit ethnic minority village then head to the tea fields. Continue to Da Nang beach city and visit Marble Mountains, a cluster of 5 marble and limstone hills. In the afternoon, arrive in Hoi An ancient town. Leisurely explore the town. Overnight in Hoi An.

Day 05: Motorcycling to My Son - Hoi an (B/L)

Ride to Po Nagar, Cham temple tower then go to My Son Sanctuary, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here, visit Hindu temples and learn the unique methods of building the temple towers of Cham Pa people. Get back to Hoi An, ride across the “floating bridge” and see local farmers working in their fields. Stop at traditional village and see how friendly local families make sleeping mats by hand. End tour in Hoi An.
