Thuy Bieu Village Tour and Cooking Class from Hue

After a pick up from your hotel, you will start your day with a boat cruise along the poetic Perfume River, where you will see a pavilion that the king and royal family used to bathe. You can also experience the daily life of local people, as well as contemplate the beauty of landscapes and fill your heart and mind with fresh air. The main destination of your journey is the iconic Thien Mu Pagoda (Heavenly Lady Pagoda) which was built in 1601 and is the symbol of the city of Hue.
From here, you will continue your trip by bike around the the center of the village and the Nguyen Emperors’ tombs. Continue toward Thuy Bieu along green paths. The village of Thuy Bieu is well-known for its immense pomelo gardens, whose fruit are different from other species throughout Vietnam. It’s smaller but sweeter and known under the name of Thanh Tra. At one time, it was only provided for the Royal Family.
Enjoy biking and walking around the quiet Thuy Bieu village; feel comfortable in the friendly air of the locals. While biking, take short stops to see schools, communal houses, ancient temples and especially the garden house. Its architecture is typical of Hue and the Nguyen dynasty with small cottages hidden in large luxuriant gardens, long gates and fences carved out of ornamental trees. Thuy Bieu is a hidden gem of untouched nature and culture.
Keep biking through the pristine hamlets of Nguyet Bieu and Luong Quan where you can contemplate lush greens and their laid back lifestyle.
Return to a local house in Thuy Bieu for your cooking class. You will prepare lunch your chef’s instruction. Have lunch with Hue traditional dishes you have just cooked.
Afterwards, relax by soaking your feet in a medicinal herb foot spa. This is a traditional therapeutic practice in this area. When you are finished, return your hotel by either bicycle or car (it should be supplement for a car 15 usd/1 way).
