Depends what you like but for us this was terrible. The guide really frustrated the whole group not just my group of friends. The guide was annoyed with everyone because we couldn't keep up with him and I think instead of showing us how annoyed he was he could had slowed down. Me and two other people explained were vegiterians, and believe it or not they just picked the meet out of our plates and ate it themselves.

From start to finish this was fun. Although the desert was bumpy at times it was great fun. Be prepared to get very dusty and we came back in the dark, a convoy of headlights must be a sight to see. Highly recommend, a must do in Egypt.

Great fun to drive through the desert with a quad. Organisation of the trip was excellent, keep an eye on your email for last moment updates in the exact pick up time at your hotel. Goggles can be hired for 40 Egyptian pound, scarf can be bought for 20. Both are usefull because of the dust. Camel ride is a bit short, food was basic but good. On the way back there is a stop to take pictures of the beautiful desert sunset. And of course the whole trip is recorded so you can buy a dvd afterwards. The quad ride is a bit rough because of the wash board surface here and there so people with a bad back should take care. Keep up your speed or try standing on your quad so your knees can take the punishment.

This 5 hour quad bike safari was a nice change of pace during our beach vacation in Makadi Bay. The company picked us up right from our hotel and dropped us off to get fitted for scarves and goggles extra at the departure point. For those of you passing up on both I wouldn't recommend it as the sand from the person in front of you makes it difficult to see even with the googles! Once we made it to the village we were able to take a camel ride, smoke shisha, and learn more about the villagers before heading back on the quads. Not ever having driven a quad before I wasn't sure what to expect but it was much easier than I thought and you end up finding yourself wanting to go faster and faster as the day wears on. All in all the experience was a great one and very cheap!

Great experience, got to go on a camel ride, smoke shisha and visit a Bedouin villiage! Expect to tip for most things, but incredible! Bring a scarf and get the goggles you WILL need them you do have to rent the goggles and they are aprox 60 Egyptian pounds but you really really need them. Amazing thank you!
