The start of your tour of Skye will begin with two of the most famous tourist hotspots in all of Scotland: the beautiful waters of Loch Ness & the famed Urquhart Castle. Home to Nessie, the elusive Loch Ness Monser, you’ll be able to take in the sights and snap some great holiday pictures to show off to the family. Scientists have searched for centuries for evidence of Nessie’s presence, but she’s a shy creature…maybe you’ll be the one who’ll get to see her swimming in the cold waters!

After that, you’ll travel deeper into rural Scotland and make a stop at one of the most majestic sights in all the Highlands: Eilean Donan Castle. This fully restored 13th Century castle sits on a small island at the point where Loch Duich, Loch Alsh and Loch Long all meet. Originally built as a defence point to keep the citizens of Kintail safe from Viking attacks, it fell into disrepair for nearly two centuries before being painstaking restored by 1932. One of the most iconic sights in this corner of the Highlands, your tour of Skye will stop here so you can marvel at this incredible scenic spot and learn a little more about the history of this fascinating locale.

The next stop on your exciting tour will be the portside town Kyle of Lochalsh, a lovely & quaint little village that acts as gatekeeper to the Isle and offers you a stunning view of the grand Skye Bridge that you’ll later cross to enter the heart of Skye and the beauty within! A town where life moves slower, it offers a refreshing change of pace from the hustle and bustle of the big cities. Beyond the bridge is the Isle of Skye – Scotland’s backyard – a place where hundreds of thousands of tourists from all across the world come to visit and experience it’s breathtaking views. Your Skye tour will be no different as we’ll be taking you to some of the most well known and jaw-dropping sights the Isle has to offer. The Cuillin mountain range are an unmissable treat, their piercing peaks visible from most of Skye. You’ll travel through the Quiraing, a series of pinnacles and landslips that have created subtle shapes in the rock-face: look out for the ‘Prison’, ‘Needle’ and ‘Table’. And finally, your tour of Skye will include a visit to Kilt Rock, a series of sea cliffs that due to the rock formation, vertical columns and intruding cuts, make them look very much like a Highlanders’ kilt!
