Small Group day tour to Isle of Skye Day Trip from Inverness

Wave goodbye to Inverness as we cross over the Kessock Bridge. You’ll enjoy a comfort break in the lovely Kyle of Lochalsh, gateway to the Isle of Skye, a perfect place get a picture of the Skye bridge from.

Next you’ll cross onto the little island of Eilean Ban before reaching the star of this tour: Skye. Your tour of this magical island takes in the stunningly beautiful sight of the Cuillin Hills and the Sligachan Bridge.

We stop in the town of Portree for lunch, it’s colourful harbour is one of the most recognisable spots of Skye. It is situated on the east side of the island and a wonderful place to enjoy fish and chips and watch the world go by.

After a relaxing lunch, we'll head further north to see impressive sights such The Old Man of Storr, Kilt Rock and Mealt Falls. Next, we’ll make our way off the island and to Eilean Donan*, one of Scotland's most picturesque castles. It is perched on it 's own island at the head of Loch Duich. You will have enough time here to tour the castle inside and out.

Your day concludes with a bit of monster spotting as you drive along the shores of Loch Ness. We will also stop close to the loch at the little village of Invermoriston, where you can take in the views and see a delightful ruined bridge which was designed by Thomas Telford, the same engineer who created the Caledonian Canal. You'll be able to snap some photos of Loch Ness before we return to Inverness.
