Stop At: Ipoh Railway Station, Jalan Panglima, Ipoh 30000 Malaysia

The Ipoh railway station was initially meant to be a hospital and used before the 20th century as such before being turned into a station. The original completion year of 1917 was delayed for three years due to lack of construction materials as well as high costs during World War I. Designed by Arthur Benison Hubback, it was first constructed and opened in 1935, making it the second concrete station to be constructed in the town.

The Ipoh station was used as a shooting location for the film Anna and the King, starring Jodie Foster.
The building also houses the hotel called the Majestic Station Hotel. For the record, the Majestic Station hotel closed down at the end of March 2011 after 76 years. It housed its last batch of guests on March 11,2011. Since then, it has been abandoned.
Ipoh War Memorial is located in Ipoh Hertiage Square which is front of Ipoh Railway Station. Ipoh War Memorial was built in 1927 and unveiled on Remembrance Day, originally to commemorate the soldiers from Perak State who had died in World War I.

Ipoh Town Hall is one of three colonial era buildings in Ipoh designed by well known British architect Arthur Benison Hubback.
was completed in 1916 after extended construction period of over 3 year due to shortage of materials during the early part of the First World War. The building was originally used as the main administrative offices in Ipoh, as well as it Post Office and for a time also the District Police Office.
In the trip will stop here for a while for sightseeing & photography. But the building is not allow to enter .

Stop At: HSBC Ipoh Branch, 138, Jalan Sultan Yusof, 30000 Ipoh, Negeri Perak, Malaysia

The HSBC Building is a heritage building in Ipoh, Perak. This is a handsome Victorian neo-Renaissance building was constructed in 1931. It is one of the historic buildings from the early part of the 20th century that graces the city of Ipoh, and is today part of the Ipoh Heritage Trail. Another Historical Building nae as OCBC Bank also in the same street . And now the building still in used too !
Suitable for photography outside the building .

Stop At: Birch Memorial Clock Tower, Jalan Dato Sagor, Ipoh 30000 Malaysia

Located in a square inside Old Ipoh, the four-sided Birch Memorial Clock Tower stands in front of Ipoh State Mosque. The white-washed structure’s four statues surround the centrepiece. These represent the four pillars of British administration: ‘patience, justice, loyalty and fortitude’. There not just photography hot spot, but the interesting structure are great topic to imagine the story behind !

Although Concubine Lane is the most famous street in all of Ipoh:

There are 2 other historic lanes that were once concubine lanes too! Hale Lane and Market Lane * Panglima Lane ".
Despite the superficial touristy appearance that might be your first impression here, Concubine Lane (Yee Lai Hong in Cantonese)
These places in Ipoh has more than a century’s worth of history to it! Back before Malaysia’s independence as a British colony, there was a fire in 1892.Lanes of shops were part of the layout when the town was rebuilt.
The“first” concubine implies the wife while the “second” wife refers to concubine. And of course, the “third” wife is the second concubine.

Concubine Lane was one of those lanes together with Hale Lane and Market Lane as they are known today.
It is said that this is where the rich Chinese tin mining tycoons and British officers kept their mistresses.
Here have charming souvenir shops, fashion outlets, cafes and dessert houses line this nostalgic street of Ipoh. The street literally comes to life during the weekends!

Recommendation : Get some really special desserts in here !

Ipoh Jalan Yau Tet Shin is the most crowded zone day and night , why ? Because there are lot of locals famous foods and dessert !
Ipoh well-known as the water supply in Ipoh is full of minerals to plant bean sprout, turn up that is the best bean sprout in whole Malaysia . Having a great lunch in here with ice coffee will be the best refreshment after visit some places under the sun . If you wish to try some nice dessert , get some Kaya Puff ! In this street have a few shop selling many types of biscuit and puff .

Stop At: Kellie's Castle, Batu Gajah Malaysia

This uncompleted huge mansion is located in the town of Batu Gajah and is about 25 minutes drive away from Ipoh, the capital city of Perak.
This mansion has a Moorish architecture with rooms designed for Kellie's son and daughter. A living hall, a place of worship, a flat rooftop to cater for parties and an elevator half completed. It was also discovered that there are secrets tunnels, one of which leads to the Hindu temple through the Kinta River. However, this tunnel has now been sealed for safety reason.
The building brings you back to a time and place in the past. You get to see where some scenes from Anna And The King (1999) and Skyline Cruisers (2000) were filmed in the mansion.
you can explore the vast interior of the building – its rooms, wine cellar, elevator shaft and six-storey tower. Some of the rooms have been fitted with furniture so you get to see what they would have been like if the construction had been completed.
From the rooftop, you also get a lovely view of the surrounding gardens.

Stop At: Sam Poh Tong Cave Temple, Ipoh Malaysia

Sam Poh Tong is a famous cave temple located in Gunung Rapat, about 5km south of Ipoh. It is said to be the biggest cave temple in the country, and is an impressive work of art with various statues of Buddha interspersed among the stalactites and stalagmites.

According to legend, the cave was discovered in 1890 by a monk from China who was passing through Ipoh; he decided to make it his home and a place for meditation. He remained there for 20 years until his death. Till today, nuns and monks who dedicate their lives to Buddha still occupy the Sam Poh Tong.

The present temple facade dates back to the 1950s and a stiff climb of 246 steps will lead you to an open cave with an excellent view of Ipoh and its surroundings. Other attractions at the temple include a beautiful Japanese pond full of Japanese carps and tortoises, which are a symbols of longevity.

Within the temple, visitors can discover the artistic works of man and nature - beautifully carved statues of buddha in various forms sit amidst amazing stalacties and stalagmites.

Stop At: Kek Lok Tong Cave Temple and Zen Gardens, Gunung Rapat, Ipoh 30450 Malaysia

Kek Lok Tong (sometimes spelt as Kek Look Tong) is translated as Cave of Ultimate Bliss (or Great Happiness) and indeed it does seem to bring a feeling of well-being to the many local visitors who regard it as their favourite among Ipoh's many splendid cave temples.
Beside admiring the Natural Cave with manmade sacred statues , you can find some inner peace in here with huge cave interspace.
