About this activity
Hello and welcome onboard the Firefly Marvels Cruise! We thank you for choosing us and promise to offer you an adventure to discover hidden gems in our river safari along the Perak river. Before taking the cruise, you will be given a short safety and tour briefing. Your safety is our utmost priority so getting you prepared is important.
In our Day Cruise and Sunset Cruise, we will cover the following:
• Pulau Bangau Bird Sanctuary (The stunning views of thousands of resident and migratory birds, returning during dusk and roosting on the island)
• Sand-mining ships
• Fish farms
• Sunken ship boiler(only during low tide)
• Navy Department's Jetty Shah Bandar
• Floating restaurants
• Temples (Hock Soon Keong Temple, East Sea Dragon King Temple)
• Historical buildings (Leaning Tower of Teluk Intan, Old Court etc.)
• Deep-sea fishing vessels, luxury fibreglass shipbuilding factories
• Bamboo basket weaving factory
• Old ferry from Pulau Rawa
• Mangroves floras and fauna
• And many more
* For Sunset Cruise, we will go to the birds sanctuary last to view the magnificent sunset and thousands of birds returning to their roosting sites.
For Firefly Watching Tour , we will:
• Give a brief explanations on our Malaysian fireflies life cycle and characteristics (synchronous flashing fireflies)
• The views are available all year round , even more obvious on a moonless night.
Our Fleets: Fibreglass catamaran-style boats with shade, licensed boat masters.
Pick up from hotel: Available upon request with surcharge.
Recommendations of activities around the town:
After or before your cruise, you can spend your day strolling around the city eating all the famous delicacies such as Rojak Ah Chai, Ice Cold ABC at Hawaii, yummilicious blanched noodle(Mee Rebus) at Mastan Ghani, the famous Liew Kee Chee Cheong Fun and so much more. You can also visit our national heritage building, the Leaning Tower of Teluk Intan along the heritage trails around the township.
