Day 2: Day 2: Activities in the Amazon Jungle (B/L/D)

Stop At: Amazon Rainforest, Peru
Enjoy breakfast and then crusie the Amazon River, where you will experience the most magical moment of your trip, which is to swim in the same river where the pink and gray dolphins live. You can see them, but don't expect to touch. On the way back to the lodge, you will see the biggest aquatic plant in the world, the famous Victoria Regia. It is also easy to see iguanas.

Enjoy lunch at the lodge before going on a boat trip to the lakes Purura and Corrientes to catch different kinds of fish, including the famous piranha (being more difficult in March, April and May). After lunch, spot wild animals before going on a night walk in search of huge frogs, anaconda´s favorite food. In addition to seeing tarantulas, it is worth clarifying that despite their bad reputation, they are not dangerous to humans.

Amazing tour! We didn't get to see the 'mirror lake' as it had rained but our guide was able to make a switch with other activities. The lodge was great and we were able to fish some piranhas, too! The night tour was great! Our guide managed to grab a small crocodile for us to see up close and then put back again in the river. On the Amazon river tour, we managed to see lots of dolphins too! We were able to see a sloth up close and a howler monkey too. An unforgettable experience!
