Itinerary

Day 1: Tours from Iquitos to Nauta

Stop At: Manatee Rescue Center, Carr. Iquitos-Nauta Km 4, 5 16000, Peru
After being picked up from the airport/hotel. Visit to the manatee’s rescue center. The manatee is a large marine mammal with an egg-shaped head, flippers and a flat tail. Manatees are also known as sea cows. This name is apt, due to their large stature; slow, lolling nature; and propensity to be eaten by other animals. However, despite the name, they are more closely related to elephants. Though they may seem like cumbersome creatures, manatees can swim quickly and gracefully. Afternoon boat ride excursion down the Yarapa River, exploring the wildlife. This program will be conducted by boat after you have checked in at the lodge. Evening short hike exploring the night wildlife. For this program is recommended to have a flashlight, ponchos (raincoats), mosquito’s repellent, long sleeves, long pants. Lunch, Dinner

Day 2: Yarapa Jungle Excursions

Stop At: Yacumama Lodge & Excursions, Yarapa River, 16320, Peru
At the Yacumama Lodge / Yarapa Area. Morning canoe exploring down the Yarapa rive, exploring the wildlife and photographing them. For this program, you will use a canoe on your own but watched by your tour guide who will accompany you in another canoe without interrupted your canoe exploration experience. Afternoon, dolphin observation by boat at the Ucayali River along with a swimming with the pink dolphin program. This program will allow you to observe and photograph the pink dolphin in the Yarapa River, and to live a unique experience, you will have the chance to swim with them while the dolphins do their shows on the river.

Day 3: Yarapa wildlife explorations

Stop At: Yacumama Lodge & Excursions, Yarapa River, 16320, Peru
Morning visiting to the village of Puerto Miguel. Here you will be able to learn about the Indian’s community culture and be able to hold a three toes sloths. Afternoon boat transfer to Nauta and bus transfer to Iquitos. Transfer to airport or hotel Breakfast, Lunch

A note on our Yacumama Lodge. Cabins have private bathrooms. A greater variety of activities and 1700 hectares of land for hiking, over 50 miles of trails through a variety of ecosystems.
