PACAYA-SAMIRIA /
DAY 1:
Lodging at local houses with local families/ Diurnal and Nocturnal walks in trails / Medicinal plant hikes / Canoe portage to interior lakes, called cochas / Fishing of piranha / Birdwatching / Hike to see giant trees / Looking for sloths and other terrestrial or aquatic mammals / Watching pink and gray river dolphins / Spotting of caimans / See feeding or nesting macaws parrots and toucans / Local fishing techniques / View a diversity of primate species / Locate food throughout the rainforest / Fish for peacock bass and others species.
8.30 am: Arrival at Iquitos´ airport / Pick up at hotel and transfer to the town of Nauta by private car. Transfer by motor-boat inside to Pacaya-Samiria National Reserve, during the trip you will see pink and gray river dolphins, a different kind of birds. Arrival at a community and accommodate in the refuge or local house. Typical lunch. Excursion around the refuge. Dinner. Excursions to find tarantulas and others insects. Poisonous frogs and others. Overnight at National Reserve Pacaya-Samiria.

Day 2:
Breakfast and departure on a peque-peque boat by a small river observing various species of monkeys, turtles, birds and maybe even the tapir, capybara, sajino (collared peccary) and huangana (white-lipped peccary). After a 2-hour of navigation, arrival at Yarina (camping site) and set down of the tents. Lunch. Walk trail along a Cocha (lake). Chance of observing caimans and nocturnal birds along the ride. Dinner and overnight.

Day 3:
Canoeing to see the sunrise and it is possible to find more animals such as sloths, iguanas and different kinds of monkeys. Breakfast. Time to fish piranhas, peacock bass and other type of fish. Lunch. Excursion and walk through the jungle, time to talk about medicinal plants and see giant trees. Dinner. Nocturnal walk to a second lake, place where in any season it’s possible to see black and white alligators. Overnight.

Stop At: Pacaya Samiria National Reserve, Loreto Region

Day 4:
Breakfast. Walk and last visit to a lake to see the prehistoric birds. Return to the Buenos Aires community. In the way back to this village, you have the chance to find river otters. Lunch. Return to Nauta city and return to Iquitos.
