Itinerary

Day 1: WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE OF THE MIRRORS!

Stop At: Pacaya Samiria National Reserve, Loreto Region
DAY 01:
Lodging at refuges and local houses / Diurnal and Nocturnal walks in trails / Medicinal plant hikes / Canoe portage to interior lakes, called cochas / Fish piranha / Birdwatching / Hike to see giant trees / View sloths and other mammals / View pink and gray river dolphin / View caimans / See feeding or nesting macaws, parrots and toucans / Local fishing techniques / View a diversity of primate species / Locate food throughout the rainforest / Fish for peacock bass and others species.
Day 1: Arrival at Iquitos city or hotel. Greeting and transfer to the town of Nauta by private car. Transfer by boat inside to Pacaya-Samiria National Reserve, during the trip you will watch dolphins (bufeos) pink and gray colors, different kind of birds. Arrival at a community and accommodate in the refuge. Typical lunch. Excursion around the refuge. Dinner. Overnight at Pacaya-Samiria National Reserve.

Day 2: AMAZING WAKE UP AT THE JUNGLE!

Stop At: Pacaya Samiria National Reserve, Loreto Region
Day 2:
Breakfast and departure on a peque-peque boat or a motorboat by a small river observing various species of monkeys, turtles, birds and maybe even the tapir, capybara, sajino (collared peccary) and huangana (white-lipped peccary). Lunch. Walk trail along a Cocha (lake). Chance for spotting of caimans and nocturnal birds along the way. Dinner and overnight at National Reserve Pacaya Samiria.

Day 3: TIME FOR CAMPING!

Stop At: Pacaya Samiria National Reserve, Loreto Region
Day 3:
Day of camping, just taking only the necessary, we go camping into the forest, in the way it is possible to find more animals such as sloths, iguanas and different kinds of monkeys. It's possible to camp nearby a lake or a river. Lunch. Excursion around the place. Dinner at the forest and Trek to a second lake, where in any season it’s possible to see black and white alligators.

Day 4: EXPLORING DEEP IN PACAYA-SAMIRIA!

Stop At: Pacaya Samiria National Reserve, Loreto Region
Day 4:
Bird-watching in the early morning. Breakfast. A paddle boat rides and possibility of fishing piranha. Giant river otters live in the lake and are often observed. Typical lunch. Walk through the forest to know medicinal plants and their applications. Dinner and overnight at National Reserve Pacaya Samiria.

Day 5: THANKS, GREATEST EMERALD FOREST!

Stop At: Pacaya Samiria National Reserve, Loreto Region
Day 5:
Breakfast. Return to Buenos Aires community. Walk around to participate with some activity in the village. Lunch. Return to Nauta town. And back to Iquitos.
