On this tour we will visit the historic
Malecón Tarapacá, we will also visit the
museum of Amazonian culture where we will learn a little more about the Amazonian culture of Iquitos, then we will walk to the
market of Belén where you can find the most varied products, from fresh
fish, passing for the meals to the step, the
mapachos or cigars of tobacco,
amulets for the luck,
lotions for the love, prepared medicinal and the
exotic drinks many of them with curious names that do honor to their
aphrodisiac properties, you dare to try them?!.
Then we will go to the neighborhood of
Belén Bajo, a spicy and populous neighborhood where you will live the deep Iquitos, we will go through its streets until we reach the Itaya River where we will sail among the famous floating houses or rafts. Which in seasons of increasing river flow forming the so-called
Venice Loretana. Feel calm and safe, our specialized guides will give you the best experience within this tasty neighborhood bathed by the
Itaya River.
Then we will walk to the main square to see the famous
iron house and learn a little about its history and how it came to the city of Iquitos. We will visit the 2 remaining main
squares of the city and continue with the visit to the
CREA center where you will meet the adorable
manatees and other species that live there. Then we will visit the
zoo of Quistochocha which is a complex that covers 369 hectares of land where we will find a wide variety of animals and a
botanical garden with varied flora and medicinal plants, we will also visit its beautiful artificial
beach of white sand where we will enjoy a refreshing bath before returning to the city.
Then we will return to your lodging to end the tour.
