Marathon Backcountry Fishing Charters

Pre trip gitters, worried about seasickness this is just the trip for you. Backcountry fishing is done on the bay side of the Florida Keys and is very shallow in most area which almost eliminates any wave action and on most days is like a lake. Your Captain provides fishing instructions and casting lessons which are all included for beginners and advanced techniques for the experts. This trip is suited for both first-timers, experienced anglers, elderly, youth, families and children of all ages and it handicap friendly for some. Everyone is sure to have a good time as you fish with ease and comfort during this Marathon Backcountry fishing charter.

After connecting at the agreed time and meeting destination, your party and the Captain will be departing to explore the backwaters of the Florida Keys. It could be a quick 15 minute boat ride or a 30 minute adventure to unexplored waters. This Backcountry trip will never go offshore, but mainly focus on the backwaters of islands and mangroves that hold structure. All a great choice for those of you that enjoy the hunt of finding them as much as the excitement of catching them!

Once we arrive at the fishing location everyone gets to choose their weapon of choices, maybe its a fly rod, spinning, top-water or live-bait that's up to you. Once the catching starts, your captain will know which fish are legal to keep and all the local laws of how many each person can harvest if desired. If you prefer to release then, that's okay we will be sure to get pictures of the memories. Maybe your after the Saltwater slam, that's catching a Bonefish, Tarpon and Permit in one trip!

Once the trip expires, you head back to the original dock where your captain stories are told intrigued and inspired others to follow in your footsteps, and to continue the tradition of passing on the Florida Keys fishing fever,

While out on the water, the boat will have coolers on board with ice and bottled water to keep you hydrated. There's plenty of space to bring lunch sandwiches and snacks of your choice. Also any additional favorite beverage of your choice, including alcohol beverages which are preferred in cans but not required.
