Our Adventure of 2 DAY ANZAC TOUR
First Day: Tuesday 24th April – Istanbul to Gallipoli – Guided Tour of Gallipoli
We will wait you in meeting point at 10am with designated Samyeli Travel in the Sultanahmet area.We will have a big opportunity for visit the Blue Mosque, Hippodrome before making our way to board the coach and head towards Gallipoli which we will inform you of some of the history along the way over the last 104 years and we will be stopping to pick up supplies for lunch and the overnight stay at Gallipoli. You will also have an opportunity to watch a movie about Gallipoli so you get a feel for the type of people who fought in this war and to help you picture conditions 104 years ago.
Anzac Day commemorations Anzac Day services on the Gallipoli Peninsula are conducted by Turkey, Australia and New Zealand. You will then head to Anzac Cove to get a good spot for the Dawn Service which starts early the following morning.
Overnight: Anzac Cove
Second Day: Wednesday 25th April – ANZAC Day (Gallipoli to Istanbul)
At first light we will experience the Dawn Service, a truly moving experience for everyone. You will hear tributes and tales of your fellow countrymen and join the many thousands who make the pilgrimage to Gallipoli to remember the fallen. After the Dawn Service we will make your way to the various sites for the different commemorations. Firstly Australian Service at Lone Pine and after then the New Zealand service at Chunuk Bair. At the conclusion of the NZ service you will be collected from either Lone Pine or Chunuk Bair by your guide and coach and will depart to Eceabat where there will be time for a short break and those who wish to leave the tour here can do so and head by ferry to Canakkale on the main land to continue their travels around Turkey. The coach will then depart for Istanbul arriving in the evening and will drop you off at the Samyeli Travel Meeting Point.
