Day 2, Wednesday 20th April - Istanbul Old City
After breakfast, you enjoy a fully guided tour of the only city to span two continents, visiting the Blue Mosque, St Sophia Museum, Topkapi Palace and the Hippodrome. Late in the afternoon we will drive to Harbiye Military Museum for a short visit. Tonight don't miss the optional Turkish Folklore evening. Overnight Istanbul 4-star Nidya Hotel Galataport (B)
Day 3, Thursday 21st April - Bursa
Today you head to Pamukkale, passing through rural Turkey and ancient Bursa where you will visit the famous Green Mosque and explore the Silk Bazaar. Overnight Pamukkale, 5-star Colossae Thermal Hotel (B, D)
Day 4, Friday 22nd April - Pamukkale
This morning, you'll visit the magnificent white calcium terraces, known as the Travertines, in Pamukkale. You'll also tour the ancient city of Hierapolis. Take a dip in the hot springs amongst ancient columns that were used in Roman times for their therapeutic powers. Day 5, Saturday 23rd April - Ephesus and Pergamum
Absorb yourself in history today with a guided tour of Ephesus and a visit to the site of the Temple of Artemis. Feel the mystical atmosphere of the ancient city and theater. Carpet weaving has long traditions in Turkey and at a carpet village. Learn how carpets are made by hand and what determines their value. Day 6, Sunday 24th April - Troy
This morning, visit the archaeological ruins of Troy, then cross the Dardanelles to enjoy a BBQ lunch before heading to Anzac Cove to secure a good spot on the grass for the long night ahead. (B, L)
Day 7, Monday 25th April - Anzac Day at Gallipoli
Awake before sun rise for the Anzac Day Dawn Service to become aware of the almost deafening silence as the moving service to commemorate our fallen forefathers on this special day begins.
