We start our day- early in the morning- at the rowing club located by the shores of Golden Horn (Haliç in Turkish). Golden Horn has always been the most beautiful landmark of the city for centuries. Click on this link, if you are also interested in our Golden Horn tour.
Approximately 8 km long, Haliç is a natural inland of Istanbul dividing European side of the city into two parts. On one side you have the historical peninsula of Istanbul which is the former Constantinople: the city walls, historical Ottoman mosques, churches from 19th century, monuments and of course great panoramic view. On the other side you have the beautiful Galata Tower.
If you are new to rowing, don’t be afraid. We have the most talented teachers of Istanbul. You will learn the basics of rowing only in twenty (20) minutes and enjoy rowing at Golden Horn.
Calm water, sunrise, the sound of ezan (call for prayer) and no one else around! It's just you and some other early bird friends. Enjoy!
