Stop At: Savegre River, Savegre Costa Rica
The driver will meet your at your hotel before 7am (pickup time to be advised on reconfirmation), then you'll head to the Savegre River starting point for this white water rafting adventure.
Before climbing aboard your raft, your guide will provide a safety briefing before heading into the water. The Class II, III and IV rapids are manageable in sturdy rafts that accommodate 2 to 6 people comfortably. You'll begin your descent downstream winding through the river and rapids and stopping at locally-known swimming spots and a breathtaking waterfall to give rafters a break from paddling. There is always enough time to also enjoy the abundant variety of wildlife along the river.
On most trips, rafters will observe egrets, osprey, toucans, parrots, kingfishers, cormorants, and many other species local to this protected area of the primary tropical rainforest. After a steady 13-mile trip down river, you'll wind your way back to the little village of “Silencio” where a well-deserved hot lunch in real "Tico" or Costa Rican manner, and local refreshments are waiting.
When lunch is complete, you'll head to your vehicle and return to your hotel arriving around 4pm
