Pass By: Hawa Mahal - Palace of Wind, Hawa Mahal Tripolia Bazaar Road Badi Choupad, Jaipur 302002 India

Meet your guide at your Jaipur hotel or arrange to be picked up at the airport or railway station in Jaipur at approximately 8am.

Begin the tour by visiting the Amber Fort. The Amber Fort is situated on a ridge just outside Jaipur City and is beautifully reflected in the lake below. Inside the fort, you will encounter the world-renowned Jai Mandir temple with its dazzling Sheesh Mahal hall of mirrors. The walls and the ceiling of the Mahal are covered with a beautiful array of mirrors, which reflect any streak of light, illuminating the entire room.

Continue the tour by making a photo stop at Jal Mahal around 11am. This Rajput style "Water Palace" sits in the center of the Man Sarobar lake. The lake is often dry during the summer, but the winter monsoons frequently turn it into a beautiful lake filled with water hyacinths.

Next, you will visit the Hawa Mahal, another Rajput landmark also known as the Palace of the Winds, for more photo opportunities. The five story Hawa Mahal was built in 1799A.D. along the main street of the old city. It is a pink sandstone masterpiece with semi-octagonal and delicately honeycombed windows.

After taking a short break to enjoy lunch at a popular local restaurant, you will visit the City Palace and observatory which is located in the heart of the old city. Once the royal residence of the King of Jaipur, the palace was built using a blend of Rajasthani and Mughal styles. It features carved arches, intricately crafted columns and two carved marble elephants that guard the entrance.

Later in the day, enjoy an afternoon of shopping in Jaipur where you will find an enticing variety of goods. Some of the most popular items include precious gemstones, silver jewelry, bangles, clothes, blue pottery, and textiles.

The tour will conclude around 5pm when you are transferred back to your Jaipur hotel, airport or railway station.

I had a very pleasant experience in my Jaipur tour with tour guide Ashok and driver Dara. Ashok is a very genuine and knowledgeable person. It was great to learn about the history of the sites, Jaipur and India as a whole. Ashok was a very patient person and went out of his way to ensure that the experience of the tour went beyond just a factual explanation of the sites but rather an experience of meaningful conversation. He is also a very interesting person with some nice hobbies and past and it was great to learn about him as a person. On top of the sites stated in the tour, Ashok also took me to some other sites that were as beautiful as the ones included in the tour. I would highly recommend this tour.

Our tour guide Ashook was provided us with a life changing experience in Jaipur. The morning of the trip started off as expected with a tour of the Amber fort. Ashook was very knowledgeable about the site and really encouraged us to ask all of the questions we wanted and to take the time we needed to explore the site to it's fullest. The lunch at city palace was where the trip took the life changing turn, we invited Ashook to share a meal with us and really got to know him as an individual. We then informed him that our goal was to become fully immersed in the culture and he did just that. He took us to a surprise monument where we were encouraged to take our shoes off, sit down and listen and feel everything. Ashook took time to explain Indian culture, religion, various symbols, and hand reading. This really made our trip unforgettable and indescribable in many ways. Ashook is also a jokester and made us laugh many times along the way. If you're in Jaipur and want the best possible experience, then I highly recommend that you book Ashook as your tour guide. You won't regret it!

We had the MOST AMAZING TOUR of Jaipur with Ashok! I would request him specifically when you book- he was one of the highlights of the tour in addition to learning about and experiencing such an amazing city! Ashok met us at our hotel at 8am and we were off for a packed day. We started off with Amber Fort learning about the architecture and history, we went to the Mirror Palace with millions of mirrors which came from Belgium, we also went to City Palace which is truly mesmerizing, the history and grounds of this palace is so rich! Ashok arranged for us to have a delicious Indian lunch at a great restaurant, we went to an elephant sanctuary where we learned about saving elephants and got to ride them and feed them. We went to a tea shop where we learned about different tea leaves and which ones are good for which ailments and also about spices, India is known for its spices and flavorful cooking! We also stopped at a jewelry store- Jaipur is known for its stones, though I'm sure if you want to limit shopping that would be totally fine. We also went to a textile store where we leaned about Indian made carpets, the whole process was fascinating and seeing these people put so much time and love into their work was inspiring. We were a group of 8 and were in India for a wedding so the next day Ashok helped us coodinate a bus to go to a clothing store, we all had saris and sherwanis made and they were delivered to our hotel the next day. We walked along a shopping area negotiating for clothes, bangles, shoes- everything. Don't ever pay full price in India! Everything is negotiable!! Ashok also had a few special surprises thrown in, we went to a hidden area with tombs, it was so peaceful and right in the middle of a neighborhood- we never would have found it on our own. We also went to an amazing dinner with singing, dancing and delicious food. There was an ongoing list of best food, and the restaurant Ashok took us to won for the whole trip! Ashok also arranged for us to see a block printing factory- the attention to detail and handiwork was mind blowing! I'm sure I am forgetting little nuggets but overall the tour was incredible, Ashok was fun, friendly and extremely knowledgeable about everything Indian. He was patient with all of our questions and was happy to pivot the plan based on our interests and made sure we made the most of Jaipur. We would 100 recommend this tour and especially Ashok! Overall absolutely one of the highlights of our time in India!

It was a amazing tour. Our tour guide Ashok from Nikita holidays was wonderful, very knowledgable and attentive to our needs. We were given completed historical information about the Amber Fort and City Palace. We learned about the kings and his hereditary, how the fort and palace was built. Despite hundreds of years ago the building still stands beautifully and the colour never faded much. They are full of Indo Islamic architecture around the buildings. I especially like the Mirror Palace that the king used during winter. We also visiting Hawa Mahal, Water Palace and some surprise places that Ashok took us. You need to take this tour to know the surprises! - it is worth the money. Btw, lunch was great, not spicy, taste delicious and We love it!

The tour was advertised as a full day tour with lunch. We were collected from our hotel at 8 and were back by 1 o’clock having had lunch. The four hours we did spend on the tour were excellent. The Amber Fort was particularly impressive. Guide and driver both fine.
