In this Jaipur one day tour plan you visualize the cultural and historical aspects of the city and you experience the joy by visiting the famous monuments and bazaars of the city. It is advisable to visit the Amber fort in the morning as it gets crowded later in the day, but you are the better judge to decide with the local guide. You can explore the highlights of the city i.e. – Amber fort- In 16th century, a fort was built by a trusted general of Akbar, Maan Singh. Later, Maan started to rule the area surrounding the fort which was called as the Amer state. The fort is now called as the Amer fort and the city is called as Jaipur. Amer fort or Amber fort is located a little away from the main city of Jaipur. It is an important tourist destination in this city

The palace was constructed by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II. As most structures in Jaipur this palace also reflects the fusion of Mughal and Rajput architecture.

The City Palace complex is spread over a large area occupying one seventh of the old city of Jaipur. It has a sequence of gardens, buildings and courtyards, temple and museum to give it a grand view that reflects its historical importance and magnificent royal grace. Its outer boundary was built by Raja Jai Singh and other structures by his successors to add charm to it. It also served as a residence for former Maharaja of Jaipur.

jantar mantar (Stone observatory), The Jantar Mantar was constructed by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II who from a very young age was fascinated by the movement of the celestial objects.

The instruments at the Jaipur Jantar Mantar are made of stone and are very large structures. To ensure accuracy the structures were first made out of wood and the measurements were adjusted. Once the dimensions were perfected the construction was replicated in stone to give us the magnificent Jantar Mantar.

Hawa Mahal was built in the year 1799 for the woman of the royal palace. In medieval India a ‘pardah’ system was followed where the royal woman followed seclusion. In order for royal woman to be connected to the outside would the Hawa Mahal was built. The queens and princesses could look at the various processions and events through the many windows of the Hawa Mahal.

Sawai Pratap Singh was a devotee of Lord Krishna, a Hindu God. He asked Lal Chand Usta, the chief architect to design the building to honour the Lord in some way. Therefore the Mahal is structured in the shape of Lord Krishna’s crown

The royal structure reflects the medieval construction style and is filled with various marvelous exquisite interiors. The huge and stunning construction Jaigarh Fort was built during the period of Jai Singh ll between 15th to 18th centuries using the red sandstones. This was once the fort, which is responsible for the safety and security of both Jaipur and Amer from rivals. Also the majestic fort has the complexes to store the huge weapons, cannons and other arms along with places like warriors assembly.

Stop At: Nahargarh Fort, Nahar Garh Road, Jaipur 302002 India

Nahargarh Fort stands on the edge of the Aravalli Hills, overlooking the city of Jaipur in the Indian state of Rajasthan. Along with Amer Fort and Jaigarh Fort, Nahargarh once formed a strong defense ring for the city.
