Built by a famous prostitute in the 14th century, Tilon ki Pol has an interesting story behind it. When she proposed to build it, the maharawal refused as it would be below his dignity to walk under it. But the prostitute built is anyway when he was out of town, and also built a Krishna Temple on to so that he could not destruct it.

Stop At: Jaisalmer Folklore Museum, Meher Bagh Garden, Garsisar Lake, Jaisalmer 345001 India

Founded in 1894, the Folklore Museum is placed on the banks of Gadsisar Lake in the Mehar Bagh Garden and is one of the most famous tourist attractions in the city. The museum is a treasure house and an amazing showcase of the heritage as well as the history of the city.

Standing tall inside the Badal Mahal, Tazia Tower is proud of its architecture. The tower is a 5-storied structure where each story has significance in its own. On each floor, there is a balcony that is famous for their individual designs.

Amar Sagar is a small and beautiful lake cum Oasis and is adjacent to a 17th Century palace called the Amar Singh Palace. The lake and the palace perfectly compliment each other, with huge staircases from the palace leading down to the lake.

Built for the royal family of Maharawal Moolraji, the tall structure offers great views of the city. The architectural designing and construction are one of a kind, and with overhanging balconies and canopies, the Mandir Palace is not a site to be missed.

Built back in the 16th century, the Bada Bagh is an exquisite property which will surprise you with its greenery in the arid desert landscape of Jaisalmer. This garden complex, just 5 km from Jaisalmer is a prominent tourist attraction of Jaisalmer.

A combination of five different havelis, each with its own stories, Patwaon ki Haveli is one of the most famous tourist spots in Jaisalmer. Made of yellow sandstone, and unique architecture, the haveli definitely stands out.

Built in 1815 by Salim Singh, the prime minister of the Jaisalmer Kingdom, the mansion represents architecture at its best. Made of just Stone and Iron, the architecture of this mansion is inspired by dancing peacock and has 38 carved balconies.

One of the largest forts in the world, the Jaisalmer Fort was built in 1156 AD by the Bhati Rajput leader, Rao Jodha. The golden fort stands proudly in the middle of the vast golden sand of the Thar Desert and is one of the most prominent tourist spots in the region.

Shrouded in mystery and awe, the Khaba Fort is yet another enchanting fort in Jaisalmer. Visitors can take the chance to look at the ruins that once served as palatial homes for 80 families for over two centuries ago.
