3 Days 2 Nights Bandung Splendour

Day 1: Arrival Jakarta – Bogor – Bandung 

Meet your assigned guide upon arrival at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport Jakarta, then drive to Bandung via Bogor. It is a 2-hour drive to Bogor. Dubbed as the city of rain due to the frequent rain, Bogor is set against the volcanic backdrop of Mount Salak. Arrive in Bogor, drive directly to Bogor Botanical Gardens founded in 1817 by the Dutch colonial government. Housing thousands of plant species, the botanic garden’s ground also contains the neoclassical landmark Bogor Presidential Palace which was the residence of the Dutch Governor General. Strolling through the grounds of the botanic garden affords you a view of the palace with deers grazing in the presidential gardens. Lunch is served at a local restaurant located inside the garden. The tour continues with driving towards the capital city of West Java province Bandung via the highway. Check in at a hotel of choice in Bandung and enjoy an evening at leisure.

Day 2: Bandung Highlands & City Tour 

Today at 08:00 AM, embark on an excursion to northern Bandung. Drive uphill through Lembang to arrive at an active volcanic mountain of Tangkuban Perahu. Notice the unusual shape similar to an upside-down boat while listening to the tale of a disobedient Sangkuriang. Hike to the edge of the crater to view the hot water springs and boiling mud. Proceed to drive for lunch at a local restaurant, followed with a visit to Ciater Hotspring. Enjoy the afternoon soaking in the pool of sulfuric warm spring water with naturally occuring minerals. The excursion continues as you drive towards the city center. Make a few stops along the way to sample some local snacks such as tahu pong (deepfried tofu made from soybean mixed with fresh cow milk), cireng (deepfried snack made from tapioca starch), batagor (deepfried tofu battered) served with peanut sauce, various chips (from soybean cake, banana, or shrimp crackers), or Sundanese pancakes cooked using claypots on charcoal called surabi. After a photo stop at the iconic Gedung Sate, a neoclassic-style government office built in 1920s; observe an angklung show by an orchestra of children at Saung Angklung Mang Udjo and learn how to play this traditional bamboo musical instrument. Transfer back to your hotel and the evening is at leisure.

Day 3: Departure Bandung

Breakfast is served at the hotel. Check out at 12 noon and at designated time, our guide will pick you up at the hotel lobby and escort you to the airport or to the railway station for your onward journey.
