Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII) has an area of 150 acres. TMII built a model of each of the houses from Indonesian provinces. TMII attempted not only to reconstruct the homes of the various provinces, but also to create a realistic model of the environment and shelters of the various people of Indonesia.

To see the Regional Pavilions, we will take a short walk. TMII consist of 33 exclusive replicas of traditional houses of chieftains found throughout the Indonesian archipelago from Aceh to Kalimantan, Sulawesi, Java and Papua. These are pavilions displaying the history, arts and crafts and traditions of each of the provinces.

Inside Taman Mini Indonesia Indah, the museum houses a vast collection of Indonesia contemporary arts and crafts, traditional costumes from the various regions, puppets, musical instruments, masks and daily life utensils.
