About this activity
Meet your guide at Monument National Busway Stop and then set off on your walking tour in Medan Merdeka area. The first stop is to a public cemetery for some famous figures in the past, such as : Olivia Mariane. She was the wife of Sir Thomas Raffles, British Governor that discover Singapore. There is also a replica of a monument symbolized a brutal execution happened in Jakarta. The impact of this tragic event was immortalized as the name of the village in Jakarta. Another interesting figures were scientists, sailors, governors, and last but not least : Kaptain Jas, which tomb is believed by local bestows safety and prosperity for the pilgrims.

Stroll along the civic district and stop in front of the Presidential Palace. It is a former colonial goverment administration house.
