About this activity
Greet your guide at the Princeton Battle Monument and hear how Alexander Hamilton and George Washington lead troops to victory in the Battle of Princeton. Next walk past some of the most historic and beautiful homes in Princeton, including Morven - home of the famous Stockton family and the former New Jersey Governor's residence. You'll see the homes of US President Woodrow Wilson and Albert Einstein, and see the oldest home in Princeton.
Continue walking down Nassau Street and to the beautiful Princeton University. See Nassau Hall which was once the largest building in America and is a former US Capital building. Learn about how a small, one building college became one of the most prestigious Universities in the world, and hear about the politicians, celebrities, and businesspersons who have lived in town while attending the school. Hear plenty of fun stories about the people and events that have shaped the small but world famous college town.
If time allows, opt to keep the tour going and visit famous graves at the Princeton Cemetery, including US President Grover Cleveland and Vice President Aaron Burr. All tours finish at Palmer Square a popular shopping district and outdoor public space!
