Stop At: Kibbutz Tzora

On this day trip, a member of Kibbutz Tzora will host us for a morning visit over coffee in his home and tell us, with a presentation, about the principle of the kibbutz movement from its earliest days to the modern era, with an emphasis on Kibbutz Tzora. After this, we will tour the entire kibbutz, ending our tour with a look out over the breathtaking view out over the region’s dramatic hilltops.

Stop At: Stalactite Cave Nature Reserve, Beit Shemesh, Jerusalem District

We will then travel to the stalactite cave, a natural cave discovered during mining operations in the area and turned at the time into a nature preserve. The path leading to the entrance to the stalactite cave is a descent (with the equivalent climb back up) down about 170 stairs surrounded by nature.

Stop At: Kadma Winery, Kfar Uriah, Southern District

Then, we will visit Moshav Uriah, where we will discover the special character of this moshav, where wine is produced in the ancient fashion in clay vessels.
There, we will enjoy cheese platters and wine tasting.
