This tour takes you to the less famous area of the western wall of the Temple Mount, as well as the southern wall. It is an incredibly interesting part of the walls to see, as you can see the main gates where people coming to visit the second Jewish temple would enter and exit. You can also see part of the original 2,000 year old street that was used, with shops along the way. You can see evidence of the Roman destruction of the temple in the piles of large stones that they threw down 2,000 years ago. This is a very worthwhile tour for anyone interested in the architecture and archeology of the second temple, as Herod rebuilt it. The tour guide was excellent, and very informative.
