3days THAKADU RIVER CAMP FYL IN SAFARI PACKAGE, Madikwe Game Reserve

Thakadu River Camp is a wholly-owned Community-based Tented Safari Camp within Madikwe Game Reserve. The Tented Camp, located on the banks of the Marico River, is an ecotourism partnership between North-West Parks, the Molatedi Community. The community has a 45-year lease to operate a commercial lodge with traversing rights across the Reserve. The concept is unique in South Africa in that the community owns the development, with substantial benefits accruing to the community itself. Thakadu River Camp consists of 12 tented suites, each with their own viewing deck overlooking the river. The tents are spacious and are superbly decorated and appointed. 4 of the tents are set to one side and make up Little Thakadu which is perfect for families or small groups of up to 8 people. This lodge has a phenomenal atmosphere due to the foundations upon which it is built and the gratitude of the community which it is helping to build.

1. Pickup from your area of residence or airport to connect to the charter plane

2. Transported from the fully air-conditioned vehicle to the airport

3. Transported on a private air-charter aircraft

Itinerary:

Day 1: Upon arrival at the airport you'll be met by Bono Tours and Safaris or the representative will come and collect you from your place residence or airport then proceed to private charter plane area at OR Tambo then connect to Madikwe. The flight will take up to an hour. After landing then you'll be transferred to Thakadu River Camp. Thakadu River Camp staff will welcome you on arrival and assist you with your check in and explain to you on how the lodge operates and introduced to you your field guide who will be taking you on your safari for the duration of your stay. After check in they will escort to your room to freshen up before leaving for the afternoon game drive to enjoy the BIG FIVE and what nature had to offer on that afternoon. Refreshments will be served during the course of the safari. Came back to the lodge early evening and dinner will be served.

Day 2. Early wakeup call then meet your guide at reception for tea and coffee before leaving for a morning game drive. Enjoy your morning looking for the African wildlife then came back to the lodge for breakfast. The rest of the day will be spent at the lodge relaxing by the pool or in your room or you can visit the SPA (own account). Then you leave again for the afternoon game drive

Day 3. Early wakeup call then meet your guide at reception for tea and coffee before leaving for a morning game drive. Came back to the lodge after the morning game drive then have breakfast and check out. Then you'll be transferred back to the airstrip for an hour flight back to Johannesburg with fun-filled memories.
