Soweto 6-Hour Guided Tour from Johannesburg or Pretoria

You'll be picked up at your hotel in Johannesburg or Pretoria in the mid-morning to start your tour of Soweto.

Drive past Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital and Soccer City, and take a walk in the district of Kliptown at Freedom Square. See Regina Mundi, a Catholic church that played an important role for the Soweto people during the struggles of Apartheid, and visit Nelson Mandela National Museum, aka Mandela House, located on Vilakazi Street.

For lunch, visit a Soweto shebeen, and experience the atmosphere of Vilakazi Street, where two Nobel Prize winners, Nelson Mandela and Desmond Tutu, both lived. You'll also visit the Apartheid Museum (or the Hector Pietersen Museum on Mondays, when the Apartheid Museum isn't open for guided tours).
