We had a skilled pilot who narrated about the Herbert glacier and area, we landed at the Alaskan Icefield Expeditions area where Acacia Hammel was our guide on a dog sled ride....what an awesome experience....on the flight back we landed on another glacier and got to walk around....took some amazing pictures...definitely a highlight of our trip!!

Great time dog sledding. Enjoyed the ride and petting the puppies afterwards. Beautiful ride to the glacier in the helicopter. You do need warm clothes. I wore my down coat, beanie, and thick gloves. They give you shoes to wear over your shoes, so no need to buy waterproof shoes.

If this is not on your bucket list, it needs to be. Unbelievable experience. The 12 dogs that did the work and the guide that provided us the great details of the Herbert Glacier and the dogs background was fantastic. They even had puppies that were born on the glacier for us to experience. Bring your camera, goPro, and your smile as you wont leave disappointed and you can tell people that this is one experience everyone needs to do when in Alaska. The helicopter ride was full of anticipation and excitement as we knew the flight plan was over the glacier, both ways! This too was a bucket list item, fly over a glacier in a helicopter. On the way to the helipad, had two Bald Eagles fly in front off and below the chopper, one had a fish with the other in chase. This added to the Alaska experience.

If you don't do anything else on your Alaskan tour this is a must. The memories from this tour will be with us forever. We were fortunate to have beautiful weather so our very experienced helicopter pilot from Coastal Helicopters could fly us over the mountains to the snow field for dog sledding. The dog sledding was amazing as we were taken around a 2 mile circuit with stops for the dogs to rest. After that we were flown onto the Mendenhall Glacier for a walk. I cannot find a word good enough to describe this. If there were 10 stars for tours, this tour would get 10 from us. Thanks for the memories and giving us the most unbelievable day of our lives.

Oh my gosh. What a thrilling experience. Very professional. From the pick up at your cruise boat. The van was clean and well maintained. The pre-flight instructions and safety video was informitave. They provided all you warm gear boots. Not some cheap equipment. The helicopter pilot was very professional made flying look so easy. Pointing out points of interest. Once we arrived at the dogsled camp the adventure just begins!!!!! We were a group of 3. And we all had a turn to lead mush. So much fun.... A must do....
