About this activity
Our Taku Inlet boat tour will take you down the Gastineau Channel and into the Taku Inlet area. We run our high speed vessel very close to shore and highlight Juneau's mining history, our scenery, and nature. On this tour we cover nearly 40 miles stopping to see whales, rafts of sea birds, seals, salmon streams, waterfalls, sea bird cliffs, eagles, and sometimes bears or mountain goats. Guests are provided with binoculars. We are different in that we get you close to the scenery. We often encounter whales and we are the only tour operating in this area.
