Day 1: Sunday Morning Surf Town Loop and Sunday Afternoon Sunset Ocean Loop

Stop At: Paia Bay
Sunday Morning Surf Town Loop Stop:
Just outside the Town of Paia you will find Paia Bay. Home of the Paia Youth center and a famous body boarding spot known for its large and regular shore break. You can often watch the Keiki bodyboarding and surf up this spot. This is a great beach to hang out or sunbathe and this Beach is equipped with restrooms, and showers. If you walk down the beach you will pass a nice wooded area and Paia’s clothing optional beach before arrive Baldwin Beach.

Sunday Morning Surf Town Loop Stop: Locals favorite and rated # 2 of thing to do in Paia by Trip advisory, this beach offers long stretches of white sandy beach. Baldwin showcases views of the gorgeous West Maui Mountains.. is family friendly, equipped with lifeguards, restrooms, and showers to keep you comfortable for hours. If you stroll west a mile down the beach you will end up at Baby Beach a great protected swimming spot. This Beach is a great place to sunbathe, socialize, hang up a hammock, or go for a swim. Keep your eyes out for a turtle swimming next to you!

Sunday Morning Surf Town Loop Stop: Historic Town of Paia
Deemed one of America’s best small towns, so small, if you blink, you might miss it. This old plantation town, which became a mecca for surfers, windsurfers and hippies may make you feel like you’re stepping back into the 1960’s, from dreadlocks to tie dye shops this is a place to see. Paia is also home of the Maui Dharma Center, a gorgeous must see landmark while in Paia town! Hang out with the locals at Charley’s Saloon where legend has it you may be able to catch Willie Nelson, or other famous people… always a great place to listen to live music and grab a cold beer. Come to Paia to kick back and experience your Maui vacation to the fullest. Loaded with unique boutiques, restaurants, and art galleries, you’ll be sure to find a souvenir for anyone on your list!

Sunday Morning Surf Town Loop Stop: Nestled in the Town of Paia is the Maui Darma Center and the Great Lha Bab Peace Stupa. Visitors are encouraged to come view the stupa, step inside to spin the large Mani prayer wheel, view the incredibly beautiful painted murals, and attend a daily prayer or meditation. People come from all over the world to visit this structure; it is a gorgeous must see landmark while in Paia town!

Stop At: Alexander & Baldwin Sugar Museum, Puunene, Maui, Hawaii
Sunday Morning Surf Town Loop Stop: The Alexander & Baldwin Sugar Museum is a non profit organization dedicated to preserving and presenting the history and heritage of the sugar industry and the multi-ethnic plantation life it engendered. The museum contains artifacts, photos, audio/video displays, plus outdoor exhibits of sugar harvesting machinery. Our Plantation Store contains sweet treats, books and other items related to sugar history, all airport ready and most fit into your carry-on luggage!

Stop At: Sugar Beach, Kihei, Maui, Hawaii
Feel the sand beneath your toes and walk on one of the longest stretches of beach in Maui. If you walk the whole 3 mile stretch you will find yourself at Kihei’s Sugar Beach,which is a great place to gaze at the sunset with your loved ones. Hang a hammock in the trees and spend the day reading a book in the shade, take a break to swim, watch the Sea turtles or the whales breach in the Winter months.

Stop At: Kealia Coastal Boardwalk, Kihei, Maui, Hawaii
Great 500m boardwalk with lots of interesting information board to read along the way. Easy walk on well built walkway. Great birdwatching area aside from the major roadway running right through the habitat. Also provides beach access where several tide pools can be found in the rocks and the kids enjoyed looking for sea creatures.

Stop At: Maui Ocean Center, Wailuku, Maui, Hawaii
Maui Ocean Center, The Aquarium of Hawaii is a top-rated attraction and listed among the “Top 10 Aquariums in the World” by TripAdvisor. Maui Ocean Center is home to one of the world’s largest displays of live Pacific corals and Hawaiian marine animals including sharks, stingrays, turtles, and marine life found nowhere else in the world.
Maui Ocean Center has over 60 exhibits, 20 daily presentations, and a variety of tours and encounters including the Behind-the-Scenes Tour, Shark Dive Maui, Native Plant & Culture Tour, and a virtual whale encounter in the new, state-of-the-art Humpbacks of Hawaii Exhibit & Sphere. Day 2: Monday Morning Mountain Valley Loop and Monday Afternoon Historic Surf Town Loop

Stop At: Kepaniwai Park & Heritage Gardens, Wailuku, Maui, Hawaii
This beautiful park is a gem full of gardens statues and houses honoring the people of China, Japan, New England, Native Hawaiian, Puerto Rico Portugal, Korea and the Philippians who came over to Hawaii to work in the plantation fields. These people have contributed to diverse cultures and customs that has formed modern Maui. The park is in the Iao Valley surrounded by the West Maui’s. With streams and hiking trails.

Stop At: Iao Valley State Monument, Wailuku, Maui, Hawaii
On Monday Morning, the Mountain Valley Loop will take you up through the town of Wailuku before dropping down into the lush Iao Valley of the West Maui Mountains. In this valley of ancient burial grounds, walk trails along a flowing river and past waterfalls and swimming holes. Heritage Park gives lessons into island history, and Iao Needle offers wonderful photos of a historical landmark.
