2-Day Trip to Meteora and Delphi from Athens

Itinerary

Day 1: Athens to Kalambaka

Stop At: Delphi Archaeological Museum, Ethniki Odos Amfissas - Livadias, Delphi 330 54 Greece
Around mid-morning we’ll arrive at our first stop, the heart of the ancient Greek world, Delphi! Join our local guide for a tour of the museum to further bring to life your ancient surroundings!
Duration: 2 hours

Stop At: Temple of Apollo, Delphi Greece
With our included local guide, we’ll walk along the sacred way to the Temple of Apollo, visit the Castalian springs and marvel at the Temple of Pronea at the valley of Delphi.
Duration: 1 hour

Meals included:
• Dinner: Head to a local taverna for an authentic Greek dinner!
Accommodation included: Overnight at a 3.5 star hotel in central Kalambaka

Day 2: Kalambaka to Athens

Stop At: Meteora, Kastraki, Kalambaka 422 00 Greece
Today we're up early to meet with our local guide as we head for the magical cliff-top monasteries of Meteora! Our guide will tell us the myths and history about this unique landscape, as we visit two of the most important monasteries perched high atop these incredible rock formations. After, we’ll make the most of the spectacular surroundings by finishing with an hour-long guided scenic hike (bring appropriate footwear!), descending from Meteora back to Kalambaka.

Stop At: Thermopylae Museum, Thermopylae Greece
Here, the statue of Leonidas stands to commemorate the heroic defence of the Spartans against the Persians - it looks a little different nowadays than what is shown in the movie “300”!
Duration: 30 minutes
