3-Day Pelion Peninsula Private Tour from Athens

From Pickup at your Hotel in Athens we reach Pelion after approximately 3.5 hours but can take the opportunity along the way to stop along the coastal route for lunch or a break to swim at one of the pretty villages along the way. On reaching Pelion we start to ascend the slopes to visit two of Pelions most famous villages before check in to your comfortable accommodation & rest before the evening where you can enjoy the local cuisine on one of the village squares underneath the gigantic 800 year old plane trees.

 

Over the next two days your driver will tour the area with you visiting the chains of mountain & seaside villages which lie along the northern & southern routes of the Peninsula, stopping to enjoy each one at your own pace. On your return towards Athens we also stop at the site of Thermopylae to explore and enter the visitor’s center which recreates the ancient battle where King Leonidas led the 300 Spartans in 480BC. Stop nearby at one of the local beaches for a swim (in the summer) and for lunch by the sea before your final return.
