5 Days Tour to Athens-Sounio-Mycenae-Nafplion-Epidaurus-Delphi on HB basis

Itinerary:

Day 1: Athens

Arrive in Athens and transfer from the airport to your hotel. Free time

In the evening dinner with Greek dances in local restaurant. Overnight.

Day 2: Athens City Tour - Cape Sounion

After breakfast we will begin the tour of the city of Athens, seeing the Tomb of Unknown Soldier, the Greek Parliament, the Kalimarmaro Stadium home of the first modern day Olympic competition and main site of the Olympic Games of 2004. A tour of Athens is incomplete without a visit to the Acropolis and its Parthenon. On Mars Hill, Apostle Paul was brought before the council and delivered his great sermon. During the tour we have lunch in local tavern .

In late afternoon, we will travel along a coastal road past many wonderful beaches to the southern point of Attica, Cape Sounion, where the white marble pillars of the Temple of Poseidon stand. After visiting the temple ruins we will have time to walk along the rock promontory of Sounion or sit at the cafe and sip the most scrumptious hot chocolate you can imagine. Return back to Athens early in the evening. Overnight.

Day 3: Athens - Mycenae - Nafplion - Epidaurus

After breakfast driving through Eleusis we will arrive at the Corinth Canal where you will have the chance to visit the Corinth Canal.

Then we will continue our tour arriving at Mycenae the legendary home of the Atreides that gave its name to the Civilization that speeded throughout the Greek world.

We will visit the famous Tomb of king Agamemnon and the lion s Gate part, of the cyclopean walls. Lunch in the local restaurant.

After lunch we shall continue for a visit to Nafplion, a beautiful nearby city by the seaside. Afterwards we will visit the Theatre of Epidaurus, world famous for its acoustics. Finally we will head back to Athens.

Day 4: Athens - Delphi

After breakfast we will be transferred to the lovely mountain region of Delphi - the sanctuary of Apollo. We will start our tour of Delphi where we will gain a greater understanding of the Greek religious heritage and its influence on the early Christian church. We also visit the Temple of Apollo and the Castalia Springs. Then we will have lunch in the local restaurant. Free time for shopping and photographs. In the evening we will take our way back to Athens.

Day 5: Athens - Departure

After breakfast free time till the time of departure for the airport. Transfer to the airport in time to catch your outbound return flight.
