Tribute to Marathon

We will start our tour at the marathon museum 42 km from the city center. We will continue to the tumulus of the 192 Athenian soldiers dead during the battle. We will study all the battle models before visiting the actual battle field. We will discuss the historical impact in front of the trophy the Athenians build for their victory. Our next stop is the museum of the modern Olympics marathon race in the village of Marathon. We will end the tour at the Kallimarmaro, the marble stadium of Athens, finishing place of the original marathon races held in Athens.
