5-Day Gorilla And Lake Mburo Small-Group Safari From Entebbe

Day1: Entebbe

Upon arrival at Entebbe airport, you will clear customs and immigration and then you will be met by our representative here and transferred to your hotel

Overnight: Lake Heights Hotel or Similar

Day 2: Entebbe - Bwindi Impenetrable Forest Reserve (B/L/D)

After an early breakfast, you drive to the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. The drive is a full day taking approximately 11 hours. Leaving the Lake Victoria basin, you pass through Ugandan villages and beautiful agricultural countryside where you see people tending their traditional crops of millet, sorghum, beans and maize. Lunch will be taken en route at Mbarara, proceed through the Kigezi mountains to Buhoma sector of the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Check in at Volcanoes Bwindi Lodge (or similar) for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Bwindi Impenetrable Forest Reserve (B/L/D)

Breakfast and take a short transfer to Bwindi National Park headquarters where you will meet up with excellent local guides/rangers and trackers, who will give a talk on the etiquette of gorilla trekking (Gorilla Permits - at an extra cost). Thereafter, hike into the forest with your packed lunch. Return to the lodge and spend the rest of the afternoon at leisure. Dinner evening to relax.

Day 4: Bwindi Forest (Buhoma sector) - Lake Mburo (B/L/D)

Today after breakfast, drive through terraced evergreen Mountains referred to as the Little Switzerland of Africa. Have lunch at the Motel Agip in Mbarara and later drive to Lake Mburo National Park. A Game drive at dusk introduces Zebra, Impala, Topi, Cape buffaloes and other Plains game. Arrive for a bush dinner by camp fire at the Mantana Lake Tented Camp (or similar).

Day 5: Lake Mburo – Entebbe (B/L)

After a very early morning breakfast, drive via the Lake with opportunities of spotting hippos, crocodiles and other wildlife on Lake. Later, with a picnic lunch, depart back to Entebbe with brief stops on the way.
