About this activity
Day1- On arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be met by our representative who will transfer you to Kampala city for the overnight.

Day 2 - Drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After breakfast, depart for Bwindi Impenetrable Forest through Mbarara, Lunch en-route. Along the way, you will stop over at the equator for photography; you will enjoy the wonderful vegetation, the long horned Ankole cattle and the Ugandan homesteads and farms. Arrival in Bwindi will be in the evening. Dinner and overnight.

Day 3 - The encounter with mountains gorillas

Your guide will drive you to the starting point of the gorilla tracking where you will be briefed by the Park rangers at 8am. The forest is magnificent as it offers a heavily dense landscape crisscrossed by numerous animal trails, allowing access to tourists. The time taken to find the gorillas varies according to the terrain and the movements of these marvelous primates. The gorillas are shy and peaceful animals and the thrill of viewing, observing and photographing them as they interact with one another is a rare and exciting experience. After the gorilla tracking, you will drive to Ishasha for dinner and overnight.

Day 4 – Face to face with Tree climbing lions of Ishasha

After breakfast, you drive through the Ishasha Sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park for the game drive in the open savannah on the edge of the Albertine Rift Valley. You will search for the typical tree climbing lions found only in this part of the country. It is impressive to see them lying on the branches of fig trees (weather permitting). Lunch en-route. In the afternoon proceed

to the Mweya peninsula for dinner and overnight.

Day 5 - Boat cruise along Kazinga Channel and Lake Edward

This day starts with an early morning game drive along Kasenyi and Queens’ mile tracks in the park and you may be able to see lions, elephants, Cape buffaloes, warthogs, leopards, spotted hyena, mongoose, waterbucks, Uganda kobs, topi and a lot of small animals and birds. Return to the lodge for breakfast and relax at the swimming pool. After lunch, go for a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, a good opportunity for birding, as you will see many water birds, cormorants, pelicans, eagles, and many others as well as crocodiles, hippos, elephants, buffaloes. In the evening you proceed to Fort Portal for dinner and overnight. 

Day 6 - Chimpanzees trekking in Kibale National Park and Bigodi forest

Today we are in the forest for the chimpanzee trek. This park has the largest concentration of chimpanzees and other primates in Uganda. Have lunch in Fort Portal and return to Kampala for dinner and overnight. 

Day 7-This day is reserved for the transfer to the airport for your return flight depending on your flight schedule.

  • Dress is mainly informal and should be light as well as practical, like long trousers, t-shirts, trekking shoes. Something warm should be brought along for early morning and evenings and shirts/jumpers in the evening are better helping against mosquitoes. Light rain jacket for the rain is necessary.
  • Do not forget sun glasses, hat, sunscreen products, and torch for evening, insects’ repellents, swimming costume, backpack, binoculars for game drives and birding. Remember to bring with you disinfectant products for the hands and face.
  • In Uganda it is easy to purchase films in town and in Kampala you can find the batteries for digital cameras. It is prohibited to take photographs of military and State buildings and military personnel. It is allowed to take photographs and filming for personal reasons and not commercial within the national parks and mountains gorillas.
  • Vaccination against Yellow Fever is no longer mandatory. Take your anti-malarial drugs before arrival in Uganda and come along with mosquito repellants. We recommend that you bring all your personal medications.
