Day 1: KANDY-NUWARA ELIYA 

Stop At: Sita Temple, Peradeniya-Badulla-Chenkaladi Highway, Nuwara Eliya 22200 Sri Lanka
The Sita Amman Temple dedicated to Sita, the wife of Lord Rama, situated in the hills of Nuwara Eliya, is treated with enduring devotion by Hindus as it is considered to be the only such temple in the world. It is located five kilometres along the road from Nuwara Eliya to Kandy. History has it that this is the place where King Ravana held Sits imprisoned.What is interesting about the temple is the presence of footprints by the river, which is construed as being akin to Hanuman’s.

Stop At: Hakgala Botanic Gardens, Badulla Road, Nuwara Eliya 22200 Sri Lanka
Hakgala Botanical Garden is one of the five botanical gardens in Sri Lanka. The other four are Peradeniya Botanical Garden, Henarathgoda Botanical Garden, Mirijjawila Botanical Garden and Seetawaka Botanical Garden. It is the second largest garden in Sri Lanka.

Victoria Park is a public park located in Nuwara Eliya, next to the Nuwara Eliya Post Office in Sri Lanka. Originally the park was the research field of Hakgala Botanical Garden. The park was formally named in 1897 to commemorate Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee

Gregory Lake was created in 1873 by the British era Governor at the time, Sir William Gregory, supposedly for the purpose of providing electricity. However the lake was mainly used for leisure and recreation after it was built. At its peak of fame, Gregory Lake was the most prominent attraction in the area and was used a place to relax by many visitors.

Kandy Lake, also known as Kiri Muhuda or the Sea of Milk, is an artificial lake in the heart of the hill city of Kandy, Sri Lanka, built in 1807 by King Sri Wickrama Rajasinghe next to the Temple of the Tooth. Over the years, it was reduced in size. It is a protected lake, with fishing banned. There are many legends and folklore regarding the lake. One such is that the small island at its center was used by the king’s helm for bathing and was connected to the palace by a secret tunnel.

Pallekele International Cricket Stadium, also known as Muttiah Muralitharan International Cricket Stadium, is a cricket stadium in Kandy, Sri Lanka. In July 2010, The Central Provincial Council in Kandy announced plans to rename the stadium to honor the legendary Sri Lankan cricketer Muttiah Muralitharan but hasn’t officially done so yet. The stadium was opened on 27 November 2009 and became the 104th Test venue in the world in December 2010.

Day 2: KANDY-SIGIRIYA-COLOMBO

Pass By: Pidurangala Rock, Pidurangala,Sigiriya, Sigiriya 21120 Sri Lanka
Pidurangala Rock is adjacent to Sigiriya Rock and is the best viewing spot of Sigiriya Rock as it is only slightly lower. Pidurangala is a popular spot for sunrise as you can enjoy 360-degree views of not only the valleys but also Sigiriya Rock.


Pass By: Green Path, Ananda Coomaraswamy Mawatha, Colombo Sri Lanka
Green Path, is a two way street with a wide stretch of manicured grass, and neatly planted palm trees, separating the sides. It cuts straight through from the roundabout junction next to the Colombo Public Library to the roundabout at Alexandra Place. This straight road enables vehicles to bypass the longer stretch of Albert Crescent to reach Alexandra Road directly. It was merely a catchy name for one of the most famous open-air venues in Colombo. A number of events; such as food festivals, fairs, music concerts, non-profit initiatives, and even drag racing; take place here.


Pass By: Independence Memorial Hall, Independence Square, Colombo 00700 Sri Lanka
Really a large memorial building to Sri Lanka’s 1948 independence from Britain, this huge stone edifice is loosely based on Kandy’s Audience Hall. The Independence Memorial Hall is located in independence square in the cinnamon gardens, Colombo was built to commemorate this turning point in Sri Lankan history. Along with the Independence Memorial Museum, the monument is also home to a statue of the nation’s first Prime Minister Rt. Hon. Don Stephen Senanayake. Today, the revered hall stands as the venue for the most annual Independence Day celebrations & many religious events.

Colombo’s newest theatre is designed in the shape of a Lotus flower, and with a range of varied auditorium and performance facilities. This glossy venue is located in a high-profile spot south of Viharamahadevi Park. Its stunning design is based on the Nelum Pokuna, the 12th-century lotus pond in Polonnaruwa.
