Kandy To Nuwara Eliya Private Cycling Tour

Meet a guide for 7am departure from Gampola, then set out on a mountain bike as a backup vehicle follows behind. 
You'll ride 37 miles (60 km.) of the A5 highway, with good quality road conditions and lots of climbing. The ride starts at an elevation of 1,640 feet (500 mt.) above sea level, and finishes at 6,184 feet (1,885 mt.) above sea level, covering lots of short ascents and descents along the way. 
The beauty of the route is well worth the effort. In many places, the road will be flanked by a steep cliff on one side and an unprotected sharp drop on the other. Tall evergreens stand sentry every few yards, and carpets of green tea drop away from the road, much of it too steep and rocky for pluckers to access. If there are flatter sections in the valleys, you may see tea pluckers busy with their work, and waterfalls are sometimes visible along the way. 
Take a mid-ride break at a tea factory, where you can learn about tea varieties and processing, try a cup of hot tea, or purchase locally-grown tea leaves. 
Following your time at the tea factory, continue the ride to Nuwara Eliya, arriving at roughly 1:30pm.
