Everest Short Trek from Kathmandu

Itinerary

Day 1: Pick up from Kathmandu. Fly Kathmandu to Lukla & Trek Phakding (L,D)

Pass By: Phakding 56000, Nepal
At 6:30am, your driver will meet you in your hotel lobby. Your car is waiting to transfer you to Kathmandu Domestic airport in time to board your included flight to Lukla. The flight from Kathmandu to Lukla is one of the scenic flights which provides an opportunity to get a good aerial view over Kathmandu, Langtang, Ganesh Himal, Dorje Lakpa, Gauri Shanker, Pumori, Everest, Lhotse, Cho-oye & many more areas. Upon arrival at Lukla Airport, you will meet your trekking crew and start your trek to Phakding, which will take approximately 3-hours to reach a height of 8,700 feet (2,652 meters). Day 2: Trek Phakding to Namche Bazaar (B,L,D)

Pass By: Main Street, Namche Bazaar 56002 Nepal
After breakfast, start your trek following the Dodh Koshi River through the pine forest. You will see the first glimpse of Thamserku Mountain from the hill-top. After you cross the double suspension bridge, which is famous landmark and featured in many Hollywood films such as “Everest”, continue your trek to Namche Bazaar, the cultural hub of Sherpa community. Namche is one of the largest settlements of famous mountain climbers or “Sherpas” from Nepal. Enjoy the remainder of the day free at leisure for acclimatization. You may decide to visit the local town, explore local culture and life style of Sherpa people. Your entire trek today will take about 5-hours and you will reach a height of nearly 11,290 feet (3,440 meters). Overnight: Local lodge in Namche

Day 3: Day excursion to Syngboche, Everest View Hotel and Khumjung Monastery (B,L,D)

Pass By: Syangboche Airport, Khumjung VDC, Solu Khumbu, 56000,Eastern Region, खुम्जुंग 56000, Nepal
After breakfast, commence on a day excursion to Syangboche to see closer view of Thamserku, Ama Dablam & Everest range. Further uphill walk will lead you to Everest View Hotel. Moving further along to Khumjung village, you will visit the monastery to see the Yeti Skull. Afterwards, you will return to Namche for your second night's stay. This excursion will take approximately 6 to 7 hours. If you would rather not take the day excursion, you are welcome to remain in the village and explore the market. Day 4: Trek to Tengboche (B,L,D)

Pass By: Tengboche Gompa, Sagarmatha, Tengboche 56002 Nepal
Today, a 5-hours walk will bring you to Tengboche which is highest point of this trek to height of nearly 12,700 feet (3,867 meters) located on the lap of Ama Dablam valley. Tengboche monastery is one of the holiest and biggest Buddhist shrine in Everest region. This monastery is famous for the Mani Rimdu festival celebrated by the Sherpa community annually. Tengboche monastery offers excellent views of Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam and Thamserku mountain peaks. If time permits, you will be able to witness evening rituals at monastery. Day 5: Trek down to Monjo (B,L,D)

Pass By: Main Street, Namche Bazaar 56002 Nepal
After breakfast atyour lodge, you will start walking downhill to Namche Bazaar with your trekkingguide. You will enjoy your lunch at Namche bazaar at local restaurant. After your lunch, you will continue walking downhill through Rhododendron and Pine forest to Monjo village. It will take 5 to 6 hours to reach to Monjo from Tengboche. Overnight at Local lodge in Monjo

Day 6: Trek to Lukla (B,L,D)

Pass By: Tenzing-Hillary Airport (LUA), Lukla - Everest Base Camp Trekking Route 30, Chaunrikharka 56000, Nepal
The trek to Lukla will take you approximately 3-hours. Upon arrival, you will make your way to your lodge accommodations where you will perform check-in duties. You can relax at lodge or explorethe local market and do some shopping if you wish. Lukla has a very popular market to buy Yak wool made clothes, jackets and gloves. You can also find Yak Cheese at very reasonable price. Overnight: Local lodge in Lukla

Day 7: Fly Lukla to Kathmandu (B)

Pass By: Tribhuvan International Airport (KTM), Ring Rd, Kathmandu 44600, Nepal
Enjoy an early breakfast before you and your guide make your way to Lukla Airport to board the flight to Kathmandu. Your guide will see off you here at the airport. Fly back to Kathmandu with lifetime memories knowing that you experienced your glimpse of Everest, Yeti Skull and friendly local Sherpa people. Once you arrive in Kathmandu Domestic Airport you will receive a transfer to your hotel located in city center or Thamel area.
