Itinerary

Day 1: Pokhara to Tikhedhunga (1525m) Walking distance 4 Hours

Pass By: Pokhara Lakeside, Lakeside Rd, Pokhara 33700 Nepal
After breakfast we drive to Nayapool (2 hour) which is the starting point for our trek. This is a relatively easy day of hiking as we follow the bank of the Modi Khola (river) passing through picturesque farmland and rice terraces.

Pass By: Nayapul Trekking Starting Point, Baglung Rajmarg, Salyan 33400, Nepal
It is the point where the Annapurna Base Camp Trek is started in Pokhara.

Modi Khola runs from the Annapurna Sanctuary, an area North of Pokhara where you can sit surrounded by the mighty peaks of the Annapurna Himal.

Day 2: Trek to Ghorepani (2855m) Walking distance 6-7 Hours

Pass By: Poon Hill, Pokhara Nepal
Fuel yourself up very well with this span morning because today you will begin the real trekking. The day starts with a steep climb to Ulleri, ascending a steep stone staircase which has about 3300 steps and these first two hours will be challenging. Later, the path becomes more level although slightly uphill. Along the trail you will experience beautiful views, rhododendron forest, flora and fauna and the scenic hillside.

Day 3: Hike to Poon hill and Trek to Tadapani (2523m) Walking distance 5-6 Hours

Pass By: Poon Hill, Pokhara Nepal
Today we start with a pre-dawn hike to Poon Hill (3210m). It is a steep climb up stairs that takes about 1 hour. From here we will watch the sunrise from this stunning viewpoint where we can see both the Annapurna Range and the Dhaulagiri Range with uninterrupted views. In spring the hillside of the surrounding areas is a stunning palette of red rhododendrons that blanket the hillside. This photogenic location is one of the highlights of this trek. After breakfast we continue on with a fairly easy walk to Tadapani through dense forest alive with greenery and wildlife.

Day 4: Trek to Chomrong (2170m) Walking distance4-5 Hours

Pass By: Modi Khola Bridge, Baglung Rajmarg, Dimuwa 33400, Nepal
From Tadapani to Chomrong, it is a steep descent through the dense forest to a beautiful village located in the lap of Annapurna. On the way we follow the west bank of Modi khola (river) before arriving at Chomrong that is located below the towering peaks of, Annapurna south and Machhapuchre (fishtail).

Day 5: Trek to Himalaya Hotel (2,950 m) Walking distance 6 Hours

Stop At: The Himalayan Hotel, Ghandruk 33700, Nepal
Today after breakfast we drop down to Chomrong Khola and continue trek to Khuldighar (2380m). There is a clearing in the forest a little further on, from which, the route travels very steeply down a rock bank, then levels out, running through thickets of bamboo at the bottom of the gorge, keeping always on the west side of the river. We walk through bamboo and rhododendron forests to the Himalayan Hotel.

Day 6: Trek to Machhapuchhare Base Camp (3700m): walking distance 6-7 Hours

Stop At: Machhapuchhre Base Camp, Ghandruk 33700, Nepal
A trek of narrow Modi Khola valley brings you almost to the base of M.B.C. There’s technically no such thing as ‘Machhapuchhare Base Camp’, since ascents of the mountains are prohibited. The mountain views are stupendous; the panorama includes Hiuchhuli, Annapurna ranges and the ever-changing Machhapuchhare. This area is called the Annapurna sanctuary since it is totally surrounded by mountains. A huge amphitheater enclosed by a solid wall of snow-capped peaks which include Annapurna I, Annapurna III and the fish tail spire of Machhapuchhare.

Day 7: Trek to Annapurna Base Camp (4130m) walking distance 2-3 Hours

Stop At: Annapurna Base Camp, Ghandruk 33700, Nepal
The climb to Annapurna Base Camp takes under two hours. You descend a small ridge branching out from the mountain pass to mountainside with widespread terraced fields showcasing tranquil meadows and lush fertile farming land. As you reach Annapurna South Base Camp, witness awesome picturesque landscapes, majestic panoramic view of snow-capped mountainous peaks and varied Himalayan cultural settings tucked beneath the southern slopes of the Annapurna massive. Tremendous Annapurna Range stops your heart beat for a while; whole day without rest chill out around to explore ABC.

Day 8: Trek to Bamboo (2345 m) Walking distance 6 Hours

Stop At: Bamboo Lodge Restaurant, Ghandruk 33700, Nepal
Today we follow same trail which drops by 1700 m to the bank of Modi Khola to Bamboo (2345m).
Duration: 4 hours

Day 9: Trek to Jhinu (1,780 m) Walking distance 5 Hours

Stop At: Bamboo Lodge Restaurant, Ghandruk 33700, Nepal
After breakfast we again follow the same trial until we reach Chomrong, we again passed Khuldighar. We continue walk through the trail continues through rhododendron and bamboo fields. From Chomrong, the trail descends very steeply to the Jhinu.

Day 10: Trek to Nayapul (1,010 m), Drive to Pokhara - 2 Hours

Stop At: Nayapul Trekking Starting Point, Baglung Rajmarg, Salyan 33400, Nepal
Today after breakfast we continue our walk to Nayapool via Birethanti by the right side of Modi Khola. After an hour drive will take us back to Pokhara. Upon arrival Pokhara we will take rest.
