Day 01: Arrive at Kathmandu airport 

Day 02: Optional Kathmandu valley sightseeing 

Day 03: Fly to Lukla (2,840m/9,317 ft), trek to Phakding (2,610 m/8561 ft) - 4 to 5 hours walk

Highlights:
• Kusumkang, Thamserku Himal views
• Scenic flight
• Follow Dudh koshi River
• Rhododendron and pine trees.

Day 04: Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,445 m/11,302 ft); 5 to 6 hours walk

• Cross 4 suspension bridges.
• Vibrant Namche village
• Beautiful pine, juniper forests and Dudh Koshi River
• Views of Mt. Thamserku

Day 05: Acclimatization day in Namche

• Vibrant Namche Bazzar
• Yaks roam on the Namche streets

Day 6: Namche – Debuche (3,770m/12,368ft) 5 – 6 hrs hike

Day 7: Debuche – Pangboche (3,875m/12,713ft) approx 2 – 3hrs hike

Day 8: Hike to Ama Dablam Base Camp (4,800m/15,748ft) approx 6 – 7 hrs hike

Day 9: Pangboche – Khumjung village (3,970 m/13,024 ft) approx 6 – 7 hrs hike

Day 11: Thame – Monjo (2,850m/9,351ft) approx 6hrs hike

• Observe beautiful village

Day 12: Monjo – Lukla (2,840 m/9,317 ft) 5 hrs hike

 Highlights:

 Gumila monastery

Day 13: Lukla – Kathmandu (1,302 m/4,270 ft) approx 35 mins flight

  • Tipping information
  • Tipping is a nice way of saying thank-you and appreciating to crew members (leader, guide, cooks, porter) who will play a vital role in your trekking experience. We will suggest and encourage you to be generous about tipping they have done for you. The recommended amount for trekking guide is Rs. 400/ day and for Porter Rs. 200/ day by each client.

  • Walking boots. A pair of water repellent boots with ankle support.
  • Gaiters. A pair used to keep boots dry if walking through deep snow.
  • Walking socks.
  • Trainers or trail shoes. Can be used in and around lodge in the afternoons/evenings.
  • Waterproof jacket and trousers (Gore-Tex or similar).
  • Trekking trousers.
  • Long sleeve shirts (not cotton).
  • Micro fleece.
  • Mid to heavyweight fleece.
  • Sleeveless or body warmer type fleece.
  • Thermals or base layer for top & bottom (merino wool or synthetic).
  • Fleece pants.
  • Medium weight down jacket (eg Nuptse jacket by The North Face).

  • Sleeping bag (Note: it is possible to rent this in Kathmandu for about $1 per day).
  • Day pack large enough to carry water bottles, camera, lunch and extra clothing.
  • Stuff sacks for keeping your gear dry and organized.
  • Two water bottles (Nalgene wide mouth bottles are the best).
  • Sunscreen and lip salve with a high SPF.
  • Water purification tablets (Pristine, BioxAcqua or Acqa Mira).
  • Favourite snack food.
  • Books, iPod and cards etc.
  • Trekking poles (optional).
  • Camera with spare batteries and memory cards.
  • Insurance certificate.
  • Earplugs (optional).
  • Baby wipes (optional).
  • Hand sanitizer (optional).
  • Duffle bag or large backpack for your personal gear on the trek (carried by a porter). Bring a small combination padlock to secure the bag.
  • Travel clothes. You will need casual clothing for air travel days and time spent in Kathmandu.
  • Toiletry bag include toilet paper, soap, towel, toothbrush, etc.
  • Note: we provide a comprehensive group first aid kit but please bring personal medications and other items you might use regularly such as:
  • Any personal medications.
  • Malaria prophylactic tablets.
  • Blister treatment (Compeed patches are the best).
  • Rehydration powder e.g. Dioralyte.
  • Analgesics (paracetamol, ibuprofen and aspirin).
  • Plasters and zinc oxide tape.
  • Throat lozenges.
  • Diamox (helps with acclimatization).
