DAY 1 – TRAVEL TO CHITWAN NATIONAL PARK

The Chitwan Budget Jungle Adventure begins with a ride on a quality tourist bus that takes you over the pass out of the Kathmandu Valley and down along the famed Trisuli River as you leave the Himalayas behind. You arrive in Sauraha, the center of activity for Chitwan National Park and check into your hotel. See today the elephant breeding grounds with their baby elephants. In the evening, enjoy dinner followed by a Tharu cultural program where you learn about the people who call Chitwan their home.

DAY 2 – JUNGLE SAFARI

The new day dawns and after breakfast, board an Jeep for an excursion into the jungle to look for the wild animals. Jeep are the finest way to explore the jungle, riding high above the jungle floor. Later take a cruise down the Rapti River in a dugout as you see animals coming down to the riverbank for water. Chitwan National Park is home to over 160 varieties of birds. The river contains two species of crocodiles, including the fish eating gharial that is on the endangered animal list. It’s a day of jungle fun and excitement.

DAY 3 – RETURN TO KATHMANDU

The jungle ends today, but the adventure does not. After breakfast, board the first class tourist bus to return to Kathmandu. The journey north passes through magnificent scenery as the plains of India pass out of sight and the foothills of the Himalayas rise before you. Raging rivers
