A Sanskrit name Muktinath is a combination of two words Mukti and Nath. Mukti mean salvation and Nath mean god. So Muktinath Tour holds a great importance for all spiritual people in Indian sub continent. Muktinath has been such a holy site where thousands of devotees visit Muktinath in searching for freedom from the cycle of birth and rebirth. A visit to Muktinath Temple, and the Muktinath Tour will help them to get Moksha mean freedom.
Muktinath must be visited once after completing the four special religious sites, Chardham Yatra of India.This is sacred pilgrimage sites for both Hindus and Buddhists. It locates in Muktinath Valley of Mustang which is about 18km away from Jomsom. Muktinath temple sits at an altitude of 3800m in the bottom of famous mountain Thorong La Pass.
Hindus call it Muktichhetra, place of salvation is one of the four religious sites. It is also one of the 51 Sakti peetams. Many Shaligrams found here are considered by Hindu as incarnation of lord Vishnu and worship them. According to Hindu Myth lord Vishnu turned into Shaligram because of Brinda’s Curse. Muktinath region is also called Muktidham by Indian Pilgrims. Most of South Indian people compulsory visit this place in their life.
Muktinath Overland Tour by bus.
Day 1: Arrive in Kathmandu(1300m)
Receive you at Kathmandu airport, and drive to hotel. Trip briefing and stay night hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 2: Drive by Tourist Bus Kathmandu to Pokhara 6/7 Hrs
Day 3: Jomsom to Muktinath
Arrive in Jomsom at 11 AM or 12 noon, lunch at Jomsom and drive to Muktinath by local or local bus sharing with other people to Muktinath. Visit Muktinath temple, do puja and arati and stay night there.
Day 4: Muktinath -Jomosom -Pokhara
Walk up in the morning, visit Muktinath temple and get local bus or jeep sharing with other people back to Jomsom and get at 12:00 noon bus back to Kathmandu and travel on bus.
Day 5: Arrive in Kathmandu
If everything is goes smoothly arrive in Kathmandu early in the morning, rest and stay in Kathmandu.
Day 6: Kathmandu airport
Breakfast and transfer to airport to get your flight back to home.
