About this activity
The Everest Base Camp Trek is a journey that is on the list of almost all enthusiastic trekker. It is a journey that perfectly blends in the natural Himalayan scenery of the Khumbu with its rich Sherpa culture. And there isn’t anything else that evokes the feeling of accomplishment as reaching the base camp of Mount Everest. Not only will you be able to enjoy the absolutely amazing terrains of the Khumbu, but you will also be constantly accompanied by the views and sights of Mount Everest and its neighboring peaks.

The trek begins with a short 30 minute flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. The trekking trail then goes through many ethnic Sherpa villages and settlements to finally reach the Everest Base Camp. Prominent villages like Phakding, Tengboche and Dingboche among many others are included in the trip. The famous commercial hub of the Khumbu- Namche Bazaar is also visited. You can enjoy the panoramic views of the entire Mount Everest massif from the vantage point of Kalapatthar as well. Immerse yourself in the rich spiritual ambiance at Tengboche as well. Light a butter lamp at the Tengboche Monastery. Enjoy the close-up views of mountain peaks like the Ama Dablam, Lhotse, Nuptse, Tawache, Thamserku, the Kongdi RI and many more.

Trek along the Imja Khola and the Dudh Koshi Rivers and hike through the valleys to reach the base camp. You also get to observe the Sherpa traditions of the people along the journey. Mani-stone walls carved with prayers and small chortens and gumbas line the trekking trail. Colorful prayer flags ornament the journey.
